Battery Act

• Return of batteries in accordance with the German Battery Act (BattG): According to the German Battery Act, every consumer is legally obliged to return all used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Disposal with household waste is prohibited. As products from our range may also contain or be supplied with batteries, we would like to draw your attention to the following:
  

 

• Used batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste. Old batteries and rechargeable batteries can be disposed of free of charge at the public collection points of the municipality and wherever batteries and rechargeable batteries of the relevant type are sold. If you have purchased batteries and rechargeable batteries from us, you can also send them to us. Please ensure that they are sufficiently franked.
  

 

• Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the following symbols:
  

Cd: Battery contains more than 0.002 per cent cadmium
Hg: Battery contains more than 0.0005 per cent mercury
Pb: Battery contains more than 0.004 per cent lead

Disposal of devices

• Information on the environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the law on the placing on the market, take-back and environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG).
  

 

• Manufacturers must label their electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market after 23 November 2005 with a symbol (crossed-out wheeled bin) and take it back free of charge. We would like to inform you that such old appliances should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste, but should be collected separately and disposed of via the local collection and return systems.
